Reason for replacing air filter
Most manufacturers recommend that you in your vehicle about every 10000 or 15000 kilometers to replace the air filter, however, if you live in a dusty area, driving or frequent soil or gravel on the road, you may want to consider more frequently replacing your air filter. These types of driving conditions, you may want to change your air filter, every 5000 to 6000 km. Here are some good reasons why you should always change your air filter:
Better performance
Your car's engine needs enough air flow for proper combustion and power generation. Clogged or dirty air filter, will mean less air can pass the filter, and enter your car engine. This will lead to lower combustion efficiency and worse performance for your vehicle.
Better fuel economy
Plenty of air into the engine, it also means that your engine is not working hard to create the force needed to accelerate or maintain an acceptable speed of travel. More efficient combustion means more power and less engine work. By allowing the engine to work more efficiently, you can usually improve fuel economy or gas mileage by about 10% to 15%.
Less frequent oil
Many contaminants from the engine oil found in the engine are dirty, clogged air filters. Make sure your vehicle always has a clean air filter, you can reduce the frequency you need to change the motor oil, the oil will keep your vehicle clean for a long time.
